Announcing a new Mentor Coaching Community of Practice

I’m honored to announce I’ve been invited to be co-leader of a new ICF Community of Practice on Mentor Coaching. Along with my co-leaders Lerae Gidyk and Margie Nichols, we will hold our first virtual gathering on May 13, 2026.

Please join us. To attend or to access the on-demand post-meeting recording, you need log in to the ICF global website and access ICF Engage from your account/profile (top right corner of the page). If you cannot access, best to email support@coachingfederation.org

Purpose Statement

The ICF Mentor Coaching Community of Practice is a collaborative space where mentor coaches come together to learn, reflect, and grow—strengthening our craft, supporting coaches, and advancing the integrity of mentor coaching.

Information on the inaugural gathering

We will explore the evolving role of mentor coaching within the coaching ecosystem.

As this is the first gathering of this Community of Practice, we will share the purpose, make introductions, and invite participants to reflect on what would be most meaningful for this community.

We will hear from a panel of ICF staff on mentor coaching, including its role in developing confident, competent coaches through observation, reflection, and formative feedback.

We will close by reflecting on what has emerged and how it may shape the future direction of this Community of Practice—fostering connection, curiosity, and shared learning to elevate both individual practice and professional standards.

Ongoing support

We’ll be hosting webinars on a quarterly basis to support this community of mentor coaches to learn, share and grow together.
