As a Mentor Coach for MCC credential preparation since 2013, I’m constantly studying the competencies that indicate MCC skill level coaching. As a continuously active and current ICF MCC Assessor since 2005, I’m aware of distinctions, and want to offer you some key characteristics that distinguish MCC skill level coaching from PCC skill level.
The ICF provides distinctions by credential level on their website. Here’s the (current) page for ICF MCC credential information. As an assessor, and mentor coach, I continue to study the ICF information at a level that most coaches do not want to or have to. The added benefit is my presence and coaching skills are constantly being honed, in service to my mentoring and coaching clients.
Whether you are preparing for your MCC credential application, or are currently ACC or PCC, you will find that by embodying these characteristics, you will be serving your client to gain maximum value from your coaching.
